Cosplay was really the thing that started me on this downward spiral into geekdom, and so, it will always be my first love.

With the increasing number of anime conventions in Australia, the cosplay season just keeps getting longer - it's no longer just a mad rush in July/August for Manifest... it's practically all year round now! But with having too many other expensive hobbies, a full time job and a family, I don't think I'll ever make it to an interstate con. And to be perfectly honest... I don't really want to. For me, cosplay isn't about other people - it's about creating as accurate a costume as possible, not about the actual person in it (sorry!) and the bother of travelling just isn't worth it for me.

I did mention it was my first love, but not my only one.
